{"id":340,"date":"2012-08-24T23:30:56","date_gmt":"2012-08-24T23:30:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.californiastudioglass.org\/?p=340"},"modified":"2012-10-05T12:44:11","modified_gmt":"2012-10-05T19:44:11","slug":"guido-gurlitz-artist-bio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.californiastudioglass.org\/?p=340","title":{"rendered":"Guido Gerlitz Artist Bio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Started working in glass in 1991 at the Virginia Commonwealth University. \u00a0He has been working in California for 17 years.<br \/>\n<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.guidogerlitz.com\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">www.guidogerlitz.com<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Guido received his BFA in Glass &amp; Ceramics from Virginia\u00a0Commonwealth University in 1993 and MFA in Glass from\u00a0California College of the Arts in 2004. He has international\u00a0glassblowing experience, working in Venezuela at ICET and\u00a0on Murano for Vetreria Pino Signoretto. He has worked as a\u00a0gaffer for Oben Abright, Union Street Glass Inc., Nikolas\u00a0Weinstein Studios, Cohn- Stone Studios, Pilchuck Glass\u00a0School, and as an independent contract gaffer for special\u00a0projects. He served as the Executive Director of Public Glass\u00a0in San Francisco for two years.
