{"id":814,"date":"2012-10-04T20:02:21","date_gmt":"2012-10-05T03:02:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.californiastudioglass.org\/?p=814"},"modified":"2012-10-25T12:10:55","modified_gmt":"2012-10-25T19:10:55","slug":"christina-spann-artist-bio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.californiastudioglass.org\/?p=814","title":{"rendered":"Christina Spann Artist Bio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Started working in glass in 1983 in the San Francisco Bay Area.<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lightspann.com\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">www.lightspann.com\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Christina Spann graduated with Fine Arts Degrees in painting\/printmaking but turned in a new direction, toward the glass arts, in the early 80\u2019s while still painting. &#8220;After producing architectural glass for arts\u00a0and health care projects, I became interested in 3-dimensional glass and turned toward lighting.&#8221; Her\u00a0company, \u201cLightspann\u201d became her passion for the next 22 years. She has spoken, traveled, and designed for communities nationwide. Lightspann has showrooms and representatives all around the country. \u00a0Christina is the artist\/designer, designing and producing hundreds of fixtures. With her team of glass and metal artisans, she provides lighting\u00a0solutions to commercial, hospitality and residential clients.
